Harding Elementary Newsletter
December 2024
December News
Thank you to all the families who attended parent teacher conferences. Our staff was very eager to share the progress of your child(ren) with you and maintain a positive line of communication between home and school. At Harding, we value the importance of two-way communication to keep the best interest of the students at heart. We are always looking for ways to improve, so if you have any feedback on parent teacher conferences, please reach out to our office.
As December approaches, festive traditions and celebrations arrive as well. Harding Elementary will be hosting its "4th and 5th Grade Holiday Concert" on Thursday, December 5th. During the day, all students will get a chance to hear the songs prepared by their schoolmates. In the evening, we are inviting all families to come and enjoy the musical performances. Please see the reminder below for important information. Also, Harding students and staff will be participating in our "December to Remember" with dress up themes (see below).
As the holiday break comes into view, the Harding staff and administration would like to wish you and your family a joyous holiday season and safe New Year. We are extremely lucky to have you as part of our Harding Elementary family!
Thank you,
Harding Elementary Administration

- Be sure to have the Seesaw Class app downloaded onto your smartphone (picture shown). The app can connect you to teachers and office staff. Specific class codes will be shared by teachers during the first week of school.
Attend, Achieve, Succeed
Attendance matters! Regular attendance is necessary in order for your child to grow academically and socially in school. Please make on-time attendance a top priority this school year. In the event of an illness, medical appointment, or other verified absences, please use turn a slip into the office within three days of the absence. You can drop off your note in person, contact our SAIP Coordinator Emily Carnegie at 717-280-0144, or email our attendance secretary: HD-Attendance@lebanon.k12.pa.us

PBIS
Harding teachers and staff continue to look for positive behavior in the classroom, cafeteria, hallways, and other areas in the school. Students can earn blue Standing Tall tickets by showing respectful, responsible, and safe behaviors. The tickets earn the student a chance to receive special recognition and prizes throughout the school year.
PowerSchool
SWPBIS
Harding's School-Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) program is committed to establishing a social culture within our school in which students expect and support appropriate behavior from one another. At Harding, we strive to...
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
Students who show these traits are rewarded with blue tickets from teachers as recognition of their positive character traits. Each week, winners from each class are selected from the collected blue tickets to earn special prizes (see picture).
Our monthly 3:2:1 reward recognizes students who do not have 3 or more minor behavior incidents, 2 or more missing assignments, or no more than 1 major behavior incident documented for the entire month. Our December Reward is Cookie Decorating.
