Host a German Intern
Each year, AEACES welcomes interns from Germany to work in our classrooms. These young educators help our teachers, share their culture, and enrich our school community. But this can't happen without host families!
What do host families provide?
- A private bedroom
- Three meals a day
- Rides to and from school
- A warm welcome into your family and the community
When?
Fall and/or Spring Semester of the 2027 - 2028 school year
Interested or want to learn more? Please email Frau Goldman at kgoldman@aeacs.org.
Note: Host families are not paid, but FOAEA will thank you with a financial gift per semester as determined by FOAEA. Interns cover their own personal expenses.

AEA Family Engagement
School Site Council
What is the School Site Council (SSC)?
• Stakeholder group of parents, teachers, other staff, and administration from both AEA schools
• Established by California Education Code for all schools that use Title I funding.
• Charged with improving academic achievement through the compliant and efficient use of selected funds, which are intended to help ensure all students meet state academic standards.
Who Should Attend AEA SSC meetings and Why?
Monthly SSC meetings are open to everyone. We value input from parents, families, students, teachers, staff, and community members. We know it takes a village and your ideas, questions, and input can make a difference for our students.
District English Learner Advisory Committee | (D)ELAC
- The committee’s role is to advise the district on programs and services for English Learners, otherwise known as “multilingual” students.
- DELAC provides a meeting place where information is shared regarding programs, new initiatives and other current issues of importance to the education of multilingual students.
- We provide guidance and input to the Board of Trustees, SSC, and staff on the needs of Multilingual Learners who are learning English.
Meetings
They meet to discuss, evaluate, and advocate for improved learning opportunities and increased academic success for these students.
