IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION DEADLINE

To guarantee bus transportation for the first week of school, registration and transportation requests must be submitted by August 6th. Requests received after August 6th will not have bus service the first week of school.

You can save your progress and return later—just be sure to note your application number.

Parents will submit transportation information during online registration. Parents submitting online registration AFTER AUGUST 6th will be required to provide their own transportation the first week of school.

• ALL permanent bus transportation changes MUST be communicated through Central Office, 859-2120 ext. 0. DO NOT give this information to the classroom teacher OR the building office.
• Students will be allowed ONLY 3 permanent bus changes throughout the entire school year.
• Following the first week of school. Allow 2 school days for new changes to take effect. (Example: changes made on Tuesday will begin on Thursday).
• Students may only be set up for TWO transportation addresses at any given time.
• Students may only travel to permanent addresses. There will be NO after school notes accepted for students traveling to addresses that are not listed as permanent addresses for that student. In the event that your student needs to travel to an occasional address already requested, you will either send a note to school with your child or call the building office. All after school changes must be communicated prior to 2:00 p.m.

• PROOF OF RESIDENCY: You will have an opportunity to upload proof of residency during online registration. Although, this is NOT required for all students. Parents of returning students that have NOT moved, do NOT need to upload proof of residency.

• All students must be up to date on required immunizations before the first day of school. Only submit a new immunization record if your child has received additional vaccines since the last record was provided. Immunization exemption cards can be emailed to enrollment@mjays.us.

  • Preschool & Kindergarten – Required vaccines must be complete.

  • 8th Grade – Must have updated Tdap and MCV vaccines.

  • 12th Grade – Must have updated MCV vaccine.

  Immunization records can be emailed to enrollment@mjays.us.

• Parenting Plans: Parenting plans are only needed if they have changed since last school year OR they have not been provided previously. Please email to enrollment@mjays.us

• Forms are available in your Parent Portal under "More" and then "Meal Benefits."

• In addition, paper applications are available in each school building office.

• Even if you don't qualify for free or reduced meals, your application can help secure additional state funding for our district. Please submit your application today!

• Submitting the meal application is essential for funding programs like preschool. Students who qualify also receive reduced rates for Jay Care and activity fees.
