War Eagle Families,

I hope you are having a great summer and enjoying some time to rest, recharge, and make memories with your family. As we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, I want to share a few important reminders.

If your family plans to move over the summer or withdraw from Oak Ridge High School, please contact Mrs. Crystal Cook at cclanton@conroeisd.net so we can assist with the next steps.

I also want to provide an early reminder about our War Eagle dress code, especially as families begin summer shopping. There have been no changes to the dress code; however, it will be strictly enforced next school year.

Please keep the following dress code expectations in mind:

• Clothing must provide appropriate coverage from armpit to armpit and down to mid-thigh.

• Tops must have shoulder straps, cover the stomach, and keep the belly button covered.

• Rips or tears in clothing should be below mid-thigh.

• Shoes must be safe and worn at all times. Bedroom shoes or slippers are not allowed.

• See-through or mesh garments must have appropriate coverage underneath.

• Headwear is not permitted unless approved for religious or medical reasons.

• Sunglasses may not be worn indoors.

• Student IDs must be visible and worn around the neck each day.

• Some specialized courses may require uniforms, safety gear, or other specific attire.

• Clothing may not promote illegal, violent, or inappropriate conduct or substances.

• Hate speech or imagery targeting protected groups is prohibited.

Based on feedback from our parent and community surveys, we know there are a few areas that need our focused attention next year, including student safety, dress code violations, and staff communication. Throughout the summer, I will continue sharing updates on how we will work together to "Restore The Ridge" for the 2026-2027 school year. If you did not complete the district survey but have feedback or concerns you would like to share, please take a few minutes to complete my Google Form linked below. Your input is important as we continue preparing for the 2026-2027 school year.
