STEVENSON MS PARENT NEWSLETTER

Dear Wildcat Team,

We have made it to the end of the first marking period. Thank you so much for getting your student to school as much as possible. We know that we could not be a successful school without parent/guardian support.

As you review your student's grades in HAC, please ask them to reflect on what they could do differently so that next marking period they can achieve in an area they may have struggled with during the first marking period. Teachers are available for tutoring and parent conferences are going to be setup for students that may have struggled the first marking period. Please reach out to your student's teacher with questions, have your student attend tutoring, and check HAC daily on your student's progress.

Students get to experience our first Fall break. This is an opportunity for students to get recharged and reset for the second marking period. Students will not have school on October 9th, 12th, and 13th. We hope you are able to do something fun with this time. If you have not already done so, please look at the district calendar to see the upcoming opportunities for school breaks so you can prepare as a family. We have encouraged students to not be absent. We have started our October Attendance/Behavior challenge. Between October 6-28, 2026 we are asking students to not miss school or have a behavior referral. The award will be given on October 30, 2026.

Our second Success Assembly for all students will be on October 19, 2026. Our students have worked hard, grown, and accomplished so much during these first nine weeks, and we want to take time to celebrate their success! This will give us an opportunity to reiterate expectations and show students ways they can be recognized for the amazing things they are doing.

Every day, every student grows in confidence, curiosity, and capability as we create a transformative learning experience by developing a student-focused community.

NISD will host clinics on Saturday, October 3rd at Gus Stadium and Saturday, October 10th at Farris Athletic Complex. Both are scheduled from 8 am-12 Noon.

• Open to everyone 6 months and older.

• Please note: Only Flu vaccines will be available (no COVID shots).
