Early Learning Center
Students explored the concept of size by lining up in order of height, from shortest to tallest. This hands-on activity helped them compare measurements, recognize differences in size, and work together to organize themselves correctly. It was a fun and engaging way to build an understanding of height and spatial awareness!
Hubble Elementary
Each year, 1st–3rd graders in Missouri have the opportunity to vote for their favorite book from a list of nominees for the Show Me Reader Award. The winning book will be announced in April at the Missouri Library Conference. This week, Hubble students are casting their votes!
Webster Elementary
In Mrs. Cardoza’s third-grade classroom, students engaged in peer conferencing to improve their informational writing papers on famous Missourians. Each student revised and edited their own draft before sharing it with a partner for constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement. The students used a checklist aligned with their writing rubric to guide their focus while reviewing each other’s papers. This peer revising and editing not only fostered a sense of community but also encouraged critical thinking and self-reflection as they evaluated each other’s work.
Shook Elementary
Shook Elementary’s 5th graders are once again exploring the amazing world of acrylic painting on canvas! With 60 teams of about 3–5 students each, they’re mixing, blending, and experimenting with paint to create truly unique masterpieces. This project encourages students to interpret visual information and collaborate with their teammates to develop a plan that meets multiple objectives. As these paintings near completion, the building is buzzing with anticipation—everyone is eager to see what creation will be revealed next! These incredible artworks will be auctioned off in April to support our art program, making this experience not only creative but also impactful!
Junior High
The Junior High Speech and Debate Team kicked off their season on Monday at Seneca, competing against 11 other schools.
- Lilliana French and Layla Schanze advanced to the semifinals in Duo Interpretation.
- Liana Shoemaker reached the semifinals in Poetry Reading.
- Lilliana French earned 3rd place in Dramatic Interpretation.
The team will continue their season after Spring Break!
High School
The Marshfield Theatre Department is brought mystery and comedy to the stage with Clue – The Murder Mystery! This production isn’t just about entertainment—it’s an opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking skills in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment.
Through participation in theatre, students sharpen communication skills, learn problem-solving strategies, and explore storytelling in ways that enrich their academic experience. Whether memorizing lines, designing sets, or managing backstage logistics, every role contributes to their educational growth.
