Regular ELA - Next week students will have assignments on Google Classroom, StudySync, ReadWorks, AcceleratedReader (AR), and i-Ready.

  • i-Ready - Students are required to complete 50 minutes of i-Ready Reading and two passed lessons.

  • ReadWorks is articles for them to read and answer questions. When there is an option, students only have to choose one article to read.

6th Grade Honors English: We are currently working on argumentative reading and writing skills. We recently enjoyed a visit with an award winning journalist, Corey Powell. Mr. Powell has won a grant from the Pulitzer Center for his work on underreported stories. Students are applying their knowledge gained from Mr. Powell to their reading and writing argumentative texts.

For both my English and Science classes, students are accessing work via Google classroom. Within the google classroom, students have access to work on Flocabulary, ReadWorks, iReady, and NewsELA.
