🦋The Principal's Office🌏
Dear MGA Families,
We have had another strong week of learning at Monarch Global Academy. Our teachers continue to provide exceptional instruction each day, and I am grateful for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to our students.
This week also brought several exciting events for our community. Our administration team, middle school counselor, and 6th‑grade teachers hosted an informational meeting for rising 6th‑grade families. While this transition can feel overwhelming, the thoughtful guidance and information shared helped families feel more confident and excited about this next chapter.
We also held a wonderful National Junior Honor Society parent night for our candidates. It was inspiring to see so many students eager to take this next step in their academic and leadership journey. We wish each student the very best as they move forward with their applications.
I will be sending a separate email regarding an important concern involving our restrooms. We have had a small number of students vandalizing the bathrooms in the 5th–8th grade hallway, to the point that one restroom had to be closed due to unsafe conditions. In that message, I will outline the steps we are taking to address the issue. I ask for your partnership in speaking with your child about respecting school property so we can prevent further damage.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community.
Warm Regards,
April Murphy

🛑Important Message Regarding Bus Service🛑
From the desk of The Driven Group....
As the transportation service provider for
The Monarch Schools in Laurel, Glen Burnie and Annapolis it is our responsibility to provide the daily transportation for the students of families that utilize this option. Though it is rewarding, there are many challenges to facilitating it. One of the most challenging part the responsibility has been to recruit, train and maintain staffing for the routes that has been required to complete the tasks. Over the past few years, we have had a decline in the number of qualified people available that meet the certification requirements of AA County which has caused some disruption in services for some of the routes.
We understand the inconvenience of having the transportation service not arriving on time to the designated stops and or having to do double back causing you as parents / guardians be late for your daily activities.
To that end we have established a transportation hotline to give real time information on bus statuses, problems and or concerns, this line is not to be used for making changes for the transportation of your student that attends the schools, you would still need to reach out to the administrations at the school the student attends for those services.
