WELCOME NEW STAFF TO BATH TECH
We would like to welcome new staff to Bath Tech!
Nancy Riggs - Applied Academics
Nancy Riggs grew up in Bath and graduated from Morse High School in 1993. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Maine at Farmington and later earned a master’s degree in special education from New England College. For the past 28 years, Nancy has worked as both a special education teacher (17 years in RSU #1) and a social worker, helping students and families overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Nancy looks forward to bringing her experience in education, passion for teaching, and commitment to the community to the Applied Academics Program at Bath Tech.
Angelique Tamburo (Chef T) - Culinary Arts
Angelique Tamburo is the new Culinary Arts Instructor here at Bath Tech. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Management and an Associate’s degree in Baking and Pastry from Newbury College in Brookline, MA. She is currently in her sixth year at Bath Tech, where she has held three different roles. This year marks her ninth year in education, with experience teaching at another CTE school and teaching Advanced Pastry at the college level.
Throughout her career, Angelique has truly done a little bit of everything in the culinary and pastry world. Her experience includes running a nonprofit bakery, creating custom cakes for senators and news stations, and working as a fine-dining pastry chef in Portland.
Above all, she is passionate about teaching and helping students discover their own potential. She takes pride in creating an environment where students can learn, grow, and gain confidence in their skills. Her goal is not only to prepare students for successful careers in the culinary industry, but also to encourage them to challenge themselves, pursue their passions, and believe in what they are capable of achieving.
Shannon Els - Graphic Design
Shannon Els grew up in Arlington, Virginia and studied social entrepreneurship at Pepperdine University. She combines her experiences in design and teaching with a commitment to hands-on learning in the Graphic Arts program. Students will have the chance to take projects from start to finish, working with real clients through Live Work and connecting with professionals in the field. Shannon also dedicates her time as a volunteer firefighter and board member for two local arts organizations.
Here's the registration link for the Maine College Fair and Financial Night. It is open to students/families from all our sending schools: Morse, Lincoln Academy, Wiscasset Middle High School, and Boothbay High School.
