Dear Northwood families!

The time is finally here. This Saturday is Northwood Carnival! It’s not too late to volunteer or send in items to help make this event a huge success. Carnival is our biggest fundraiser and one of the most joyful traditions in our Northwood community. We hope everyone is making plans to attend and enjoy the fun with family and friends. Please see below for all of the information you need for this exciting event and don't forget to wear your Carnival shirt to school on Friday. They will be coming home with students today.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Daniel Lee and Aaron Webb who headed up the team of volunteers who came out this past Saturday for our campus beautification day. They trimmed shrubs, swept rocks, picked up trash, ground stumps, and completed many other projects to help prepare our campus for Carnival and keep our school looking beautiful. We truly appreciate your time, leadership, and dedication to our Northwood community.

Last week, we enjoyed a wonderful Young Masters Art Show. Our campus was filled with creativity, color, and proud smiles as students showcased their artistic talents. Thank you to Ms. Petrutsas for organizing such a beautiful display of student artwork, and to Ms. Lockett and Ms. Marhofer for coming out to help and support the event. A huge thank you as well to our PTA, whose dedication provides robust art lessons and meaningful creative opportunities for our students throughout the year.

Congratulations to our very own Robbie Shepherd for being elected as the 1st Vice President of the North East Council of PTAs. She is a strong and passionate advocate for Northwood and for all public schools. We are incredibly fortunate to have her represent our community in this important leadership role. 🎉

We look forward to seeing our families come together this Saturday for a day of fun, laughter, and community spirit. Thank you, as always, for your continued support of Northwood Elementary.

Have a great week,

Mrs. Harper
