Bristol Township School District
February 2026
Superintendent's Letter
Dear Bristol Township School Community,
I hope today finds you and your family well as we head into March, and hopefully some warmer weather.
Truly appreciate everyone’s support as we have navigated some brutal winter weather over the past month, and a note of gratitude to our operations, facilities and transportation teams for all their work and efforts in dealing with tough conditions to get our schools and buildings ready and our students safely to school.
As a reminder, we have now used both "Snow Days" built into the school calendar, and any future weather-related closings will be "Remote Learning Days."
Our February Smore highlights Black History Month, talented musicians representing the District at the county and state levels, athletic accomplishments, and much more. Additionally, read all about our senior spotlight, Rachelle Dennis, who is an excellent example of the Tiger Spirit!
Please enjoy this month's newsletter!
Sincerely,
Michael Nitti

Black History Month
As we reflect on Black History Month, rewatch last year's video celebrating the African American Historical and Cultural Society of Bucks County!
Students visit the AAHCSBC Library
Groups of elementary, middle school, and high school students had the opportunity to visit the African American Historical and Cultural Society of Bucks County Library at the BTSD Administration Building.
These sessions deepened their understanding of the people, events, and experiences that shaped the history of Bucks County.
Bulletin Board Displays
Truman's VOICE Club designed this bulletin board to celebrate the impact and legacy of influential Black leaders throughout history.
Library Displays
Keystone's librarian, Mrs. Nobler, created an impactful display featuring books and historical photographs, providing students and staff with meaningful opportunities to learn, reflect, and engage in conversations about Black history, culture, and contributions.

Trade, Union, & Industry Career Fair
Nearly 30 organizations representing a wide range of career pathways joined Truman High School to connect with students and share real-world opportunities beyond the traditional college route. Students visited the fair, asked questions, and learned firsthand about the skilled trades, unions, and post-high school career opportunities.
This was a great example of how we are expanding access to post-secondary pathways and helping students explore what’s next as they navigate the post-high school 3-E Pathways: Enrolled, Enlisted, or Employed!
SOL National Bowling Championships
Congratulations to the Tigers for taking home hardware at the SOL National Bowling Championships!

Truman Speech & Debate Awards
The Truman Speech and Debate Team is on a roll! Over the past few weekends, the team has had dominant showings at the Shikellamy Invitational, where students won numerous individual awards, and first place overall sweepstakes as a team.
The team also saw great success at the Pennsbury Falcon Invitational, coming in third place overall over 83 other schools along the East Coast, with Ahmad Gaga as tournament champion in Dramatic Interpretation. Finally, Nilufer Bektas placed second at the prestigious UPenn Liberty Bell Classic this past weekend! Great work, team!

Kindergarten Registration Begins March 3
Round Up at the Register
Through March 31 at the Levittown Giant (4001 New Falls Rd.)
BTSD is once again proud to be part of the GIANT Feeding School Kids initiative! Through March 31, you can round up at the register to support our school district’s efforts working to eliminate childhood hunger.
Through this initiative, BTSD and other public school districts can use funds to support meal programs to expand food distribution programs, create on-campus food pantries and gardens, supply extra weekend meals, and eliminate outstanding student meal debt.
Through last year's program, BTSD received $8,071.21 for our food service department. Let's raise even more in 2026!
