Fuller Families,

Happy Homecoming Week, Chaparrals! We have lots of exciting things happening at Fuller and a few reminders to help keep everyone up to date.

First, thank you to everyone who participated in our Parent Connect! There were a lot of great questions and opportunities for parents to ask questions and connect with our school. If you ever have questions for us, please reach out to me via email. I am happy to talk with you and address your questions and concerns.

Monday, October 14th, will be a student holiday as our staff hosts Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you haven’t yet signed up for a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher. These conferences are an important opportunity to connect, celebrate growth, and discuss goals for the rest of the semester.

We’ll also be celebrating Aubrey Homecoming Week with fun dress-up days throughout the week. Be sure to check out the flyer below for the full list of themes and join in on the school spirit!

This week, we also want to wish a very Happy Birthday to Mrs. Jackie Fuller, our school’s namesake. We are proud to honor her legacy and the strong sense of community she helped build in Aubrey ISD!

As we look ahead to the end of the month, we are still collecting candy donations for our upcoming Trunk or Treat event. Candy can be dropped off at the front office—thank you to everyone who has already contributed to making this family event a success.

In addition, our Canned Food Drive for the local food pantry is still going strong! It’s a grade-level competition, and there’s still time to see which grade will bring in the most donations. Every contribution helps support families right here in our community.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We love celebrating our students and families and look forward to another great week at Fuller!

Have a great upcoming week and remember,
We are Fuller, We are Family!

Thank you,

Nathan Smith

Aubrey ISD Gifted and Talented Nominations Aubrey ISD Gifted and Talented Nominations

It is time for referrals to be made for eligibility in the Gifted and Talented Service at Aubrey ISD. A parent may refer their child as a possible candidate for this service. The child must be in 2nd -5th grades. The criteria are extensive, and the standards are very high. However, if you would like to refer your child for possible placement in the Gifted and Talented Services, you will need to fill out a referral form. Forms may be found on the Aubrey ISD Gifted and Talented page. That page is found on the District home page under departments. Once you are there, click on it to see the Gifted and Talented Service. Please click on Parent Information to see the information and links.

Referral will be open September 29 at 8:00 am through October 17 and will close at 3:00pm.

If you are interested in having your child considered for the Gifted and Talented service, please have the referral form filled out and submitted by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2025. Unfortunately, there will be NO late exceptions.

All this information can be found on the Aubrey ISD Gifted and Talented page on the district website.

Good attendance is important for many reasons. Your child receives the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance. Per TEA, ADA time is 9:00AM, any student that arrives after 9:00AM, will be counted absent for the entire day of school. Tardy period is from 7:35-8:59AM.

A compulsory attendance notification will be sent to the parent if a student has unexcused absences on 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period. Notice it says “parts of days.” This means that leaving school early, or arriving excessively late in the day, even if the child attended for some of the day, may count as an absence.

In the state of Texas, Pre-K is not required, however, once you enroll your student in school, all attendance laws apply.

For attendance questions:
