Thank You Students, Staff and Families - GREAT Year of CAASPP Testing! Thank You Students, Staff and Families - GREAT Year of CAASPP Testing!

Dear Wolfpack,

As we wrap up another year of CAASPP testing, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who helped make this time smooth, successful, and supportive for our students.

To our incredible students—your hard work, resilience, and focus were truly inspiring. You showed up each day ready to do your best, and we couldn’t be prouder of your efforts.

To our dedicated teachers and staff—thank you for preparing our students so thoroughly, for your patience, and for creating a calm and encouraging testing environment. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.

To our amazing families—your support at home made a world of difference. Whether it was ensuring students got a good night’s sleep, sending encouraging words, or just being there—thank you.

We know testing can be stressful, but because of this incredible community, we made it through together.

With gratitude,
Great Oak High School

AP/IB Testing Proctors Needed AP/IB Testing Proctors Needed

We will need your help to proctor more than 2,600 AP exams and over 500 IB exams in May. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any graduations tickets as we have in years past.

Below, you can find the Sign-up genius links to help proctor. Please review the testing schedule to see when you may be available to support our students.

Proctoring is very easy, and we couldn't do it without you. Each test already has a lead proctor, so now we need additional proctors to help monitor students.

We appreciate your time! Your help saves thousands of dollars each year that go back into resources, supplies for students, and teacher training.

Note: You cannot proctor an exam for a test your student is taking, so please check with them before signing up.

Spring Musical Big Fish: Still Time to Catch this Show! Spring Musical Big Fish: Still Time to Catch this Show!

If you haven’t cleared your calendar yet for our Spring Musical, consider this your official "must-see" alert. This week, our performing arts department debuted Big Fish, and to say I am blown away would be an understatement.

In my time at Great Oak High School, I have seen some incredible productions, but the caliber of talent on stage this year is truly phenomenal. The cast is delivering some of the most powerful, professional, and nuanced performances I have ever witnessed in our theater.

Why You Can't Miss It:

  • World-Class Talent: Our student actors, musicians, and tech crew have poured their hearts into a production that rivals professional stages.

  • A Moving Story: It is a beautiful tale of family, legacy, and "big" imagination.

  • Pro Tip: Bring tissues! This is a deeply moving show that will stay with you long after the final curtain call.

We are so proud of the hard work our students have put into this show. Let’s fill the seats and show them the community support they deserve!

Tickets are available now! Scan the QR code below for tickets and grab yours before they’re gone. You won’t regret it.

PBIS: No Go List and Student Account Remminders PBIS: No Go List and Student Account Remminders

Great Oak High School is committed to supporting positive student behavior and accountability. As part of our PBIS system, we want to remind families about the expectations surrounding detention hours and the NO GO List.

Students who accumulate 8 or more hours of detention—due to tardies, single-period truancies, and/or disciplinary actions—are placed on the NO GO List. When a student is on this list, their school account is locked, which restricts them from making purchases at bookkeeping and on the webstore. This includes items such as dance tickets, parking permits and GRADUATION TICKETS! Additionally, students on the NO GO List are not permitted to attend school events, including WSB activities and athletic contests. For student-athletes, this also means they cannot leave school early for away games!

Students can be removed from the NO GO List by reducing their detention hours to below 8 hours. Opportunities to serve detention include:

  • Before School: 7:50–8:20 AM (Room 306)

  • Lunch: Room 306

  • Saturday School: Counts for 4 hours

We encourage families to partner with us in helping students take advantage of these opportunities to clear their hours, regain privileges, and stay engaged in the full school experience.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our PBIS Coordinator, Mr. Morton.

SPIRIT of Great Oak Comes Home with a Bronze Medal

Great Oak High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our Winter Drumline, who earned an impressive third-place finish at the SCPA Competition last weekend!

Competing against a talented field of schools, our drumline demonstrated exceptional musicality, precision, and performance energy. Their show captivated both judges and spectators, reflecting countless hours of practice, teamwork, and dedication. From the intricate rhythms to the powerful visual elements, every aspect of their performance showcased the group’s commitment to excellence.

This accomplishment is a testament not only to the students’ hard work, but also to the guidance and leadership of their instructors, who continue to push the ensemble to new heights. The growth and progress the team has shown throughout the season is truly remarkable.

Congratulations to our Winter Drumline for representing Great Oak with SPIRIT!

Congratulations to our Student Filmmakers!

Huge congratulations to our incredible students for their participation in this year’s TVUSD Film Festival!

From captivating storytelling to impressive technical skills, the creativity of our students was the true star of the show. It takes immense courage and hard work to take an idea from a script to the silver screen, and we are so proud of the dedication you poured into your project!

A Vibrant Celebration of Culture: GOHS Baile Folklorico

Last week, the Great Oak High School Baile Folklorico ensemble brought passion, precision, and a burst of color to the annual Baile Folkloric Festival hosted at Temecula Valley High School.

It was a spectacular evening that showcased not just the technical dance skills of our students, but their deep commitment to honoring and preserving traditional Mexican heritage.

We want to extend a massive "Bravo" to the dancers for their countless hours of practice and to the instructors and families who supported them behind the scenes. Your hard work turned a performance into a profound cultural experience for everyone in the audience.

We are so proud of how our Wolfpack represented GOHS. We can’t wait to see where your talent takes you next!
