Hello Central Families!

We have picture day on Wednesday; individual pictures only. Code for Central EVT7CDSMT

On Thursday, I will be hosting Coffee with the Principal at 8:30, we will discuss Title 1 at Central.

Just a reminder, there is no supervision on the playground until 8:00 am each morning.

It's always a great day to be a Tiger!

From our School Nurse

Routine screenings for hearing are provided for all kindergarten, 1st grade and new/incoming students at Helena Public Schools. At Central School these screenings will begin mid-September. If you have any questions or would like to opt your child out of this free screening please contact Tegan Maynard Hahn, school RN at tmaynardhahn@helenaschools.org

Central Wear ReStore

To promote reuse and giving, Central School will continue the Central Wear ReStore this year. If your family has Central wear that you would like to donate, simply put the clothing in a bag and drop it by the office. Clothing will be washed and given to students. Thank you for supporting the ReStore!

Central Information

Bell Schedule

Mondays= 8:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

Tuesdays-Fridays= 8:30 A.M. to 3:15 P.M.

  1. Playground supervision begins at 8:00 AM as does breakfast- we have NO adult supervision prior to that time.
  2. Dismissal- Students will be dismissed to the areas outlined below. Supervision will last from 2:30-3:00 on Monday and from 3:15-3:30 Monday-Friday. After that time, students will be brought into the office and families will be called for pickup. Please call the office if you are running late for any reason.
  3. Central Entry Points- All entries at Central are locked throughout the course of the day. To get to the main office, please enter through Entry 1
  4. Crossing Guards - We will maintain supervision at the two crosswalks on Warren during dismissal. We are also looking at options for crossing guard/walking group for students/families traveling from the other side of the gulch for both before and after school. The planned street for providing support is Lawrence.
  5. Parent Pick-up - We love having this beautiful school in historic downtown Helena! However, we have site limitations when it comes to staff and parent parking. The locations below state where students will be leaving the building, but we kindly ask that our families do not park in our bus lanes, in front of or directly behind the crosswalks or in the residential alleys. If you have older students and feel comfortable having them walk, I would like you to consider Cruise avenue as a pick-up point or one of the side streets. Thank you for your understanding!
