Tynes Weekly Updates
January 16, 2026
Greetings from Dr. Borgese
Our School, Our Say: Student Voice Forum
Tiger Families,
We will soon launch Our School, Our Say: Student Voice Forum, an intentional opportunity for students in grades 4β6 to share how they experience school and offer ideas for improvement. This forum is designed to strengthen belonging, trust, and connection by listening directly to student perspectives on topics such as safety, learning, recess, kindness, and overall school culture. It is not an evaluation of teachers or classrooms, but a culture-building initiative focused on helping our school continue to grow in thoughtful and meaningful ways. A diverse group of students will be selected to ensure a range of perspectives, and parents will be notified if their child is invited to participate
Student feedback will be gathered in a small-group, roundtable format and used to identify common themes, celebrate strengths, and inform school-wide planning. Families can support this process by encouraging your child (if selected) to be honest and respectful, reassuring them there are no βright answers,β and reinforcing that their voices matter.
Follow-up will be shared so students, teachers, and the community can see how their input helps shape our school community.
Warmly,
Dr. Borgese
Principal
