PRINCIPALS MESSAGE PRINCIPALS MESSAGE

Dear Wauwatosa Montessori School Community,

First, we are deeply grateful for Ms. Char Murphy and all the love and kindness she has showered over Wauwatosa Montessori School. She will be missed greatly. Thank you Ms. Char for everything!

Thank you to our amazing PTSA and the Adolescent Program parent community for sponsoring lunch for staff on Thursday. Everyone really appreciated the sub sandwiches, sides, desserts, and drinks!

Our Upper Elementary Students dressed up as characters this week! Our lower elementary and Children's House students had a pajama and crazy hair day. I asked Simone Georgeson about her day: “I dressed up as a dog from the book Wish. The book is about a girl named Charlie and she always wanted a dog. There was a dog named Wishbone and she tried to catch him.” I also talked to Wade Rave: “I got pants, a shirt and a book and I dressed up as Greg Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” I sat down with Amen Lawson from Ms. Susan’s class: “It was fun when we were asked to be a character for the day. We pretended to be the character. Then we did a lesson with the film Coco. I got to be the delivery person for the drinks during our film review lesson with the movie Coco. During the film, we studied Coco, the main character and the plot. The main character always wanted to play music but his family wouldn’t let him, so he had to polish shoes. Later music was brought back to his family because of one of his ancestors. He sang a song to his great-grandma and then at the end of the movie, he was allowed to play music.” I also talked to Darwin Pandya about the day: “We watched Coco; and some people made; and we had juice. We worked on a movie review, like the plot and the main character and how we would rate the movie.”

A Fond Farewell

Our school administrative assistant of many years had her last day today. Ms. Char, our community will really miss you! We appreciate all your years of service to our school and kindness to our kids. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!

Remember to vote

We hope that everyone takes the opportunity to vote on Tuesday!

The WMS PTSA supports the November referenda.

In September, the Wauwatosa Montessori PTSA voted in support of school board and legislative efforts to provide adequate and equitable public school funding for operational and infrastructure needs as well as to provide high quality education in facilities that are safe, well-equipped and sufficiently maintained for all children.

If you have any questions, please reach out directly to the PTSA at tosamontessori.ptsa@gmail.com.

Thank you

Trunk or Treat was a success! Thank you to our DJ Jason Lawent, AP Inc., our hot cocoa and craft table volunteers, and all the parents who decorated trunks.

Next PTSA meeting

Our next meeting is November 19, 7-8:30 PM, Room 30. Join us!

The PTSA shares updates in a closed group on Facebook, including events, fundraising, and school district updates. We encourage you to join to be better educated on the upcoming referenda vote and to stay up to date with the PTSA.
