Husky Huddle

Hello Husky Families! As always, we are here to support you and your student. If you notice that your child is struggling socially, emotionally, or having a hard time adjusting to all things middle school, please reach out to their counselor. Counselor emails are on the front page of the Ereckson website. You can also call the school and ask to be transferred to your student's counselor.

Guidance: For the month of September, our 7th graders will be learning about the 3 different types of Empathy that make up the true practice of empathy.

Our 8th graders will begin the journey of creating their Personal Graduation Plans. Counselors will be in classrooms throughout the month discussing and walking students through the process of creating their Personal Graduation plans. Students will have pink folders that contain all the necessary materials for this process. Please start discussing their options and plans at home, but make sure those pink folders are always in their backpacks! There will be several opportunities for parents/guardians to get informed and involved in this process as well. Starting with PGP Parent Night at Lowery Freshman Center September 24th! Please register for this parent only event where you can hear the same information your student has been receiving regarding all things PGP. The presentation starts promptly at 5:30pm followed by a Q&A session where you can get your questions answered by AISD Middle School Counselors. Next will be Expo Night at Allen High School Monday, September 29th! This is a great opportunity to see all that Allen High School has to offer and speak directly with those involved.
