Hull High School Newsletter
January 16, 2026
Believe it or not, we are halfway through the 2025-2026 school year. During the first half of the year, our students have worked hard, grown academically and personally, and contributed in meaningful ways to our school and community. Let's keep it going in the second half!
Reminder: Hull High School is closed on Monday, January 19. Also, there is no school for students on Tuesday, January 20 as teachers will be completing professional development activities.
January 16 is the last day of the second quarter. Report cards will be published in Aspen on Friday, January 23.
High school students who exceeded four absences in any specific classes will also receive notification for how to recover credit for the term in the affected classes. Note that in these instances students will receive the term grade that was earned and will not automatically fail the classes (as was the case under the previous class attendance policy).
Note: All students should check their schedules in Aspen prior to school on January 21. Some courses run for a semester (half year) as opposed to a full year and students will have a change in course and, possibly, a change in period for some classes.
Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, February 5 (1-3 PM and 6-8 PM). The registration platform will open on Monday, January 26, allowing parents and guardians to set up appointments in advance. Look for an email with a link and instructions on that day.
Reminder: February 5 is an early release day for students (dismissal time 12:50 PM).
From the Nurse

If you are interested in or your child receiving the vaccine at school, please complete the online registration by going to the following link or accessing through the QR code.

Once you complete the online registration, the nurse will call them to the nurse's office and give them the flu vaccine. The Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) for the injection influenza vaccine is in this document. Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions or concerns.
Winter Music Festival
Congratulations to Mr. Barkon and all of our Music students who performed in the Winter Music Festival on January 9. This school day concert brought all of Hull High School's students and staff together for a fun end to a Friday afternoon. The full concert is available on video here.
On the topic of music ... perhaps the Winter Music Festival sparked your own interest in taking a music class. We are beginning to plan for the 2026-2027 school year and are very interested in running music classes that will draw your interest. You can read about the possibilities here. Then, you can use the survey linked below to let us know which ones you might take. We appreciate your feedback!
