DECEMBER'22 UPDATES

Happy Graduation to our P6 Students! We held our graduation ceremony for the graduating cohort, where they were presented with certificates, enjoyed some good food and celebrated with a day out to Universal Studios Singapore!

2 of our students delivered their graduating speech and we will leave you with a quote from one of them:

" Life is like a game of chess. You may start first or second. You may make a mistake that costs you. You may blunder a full queen, but you can never take that mistake back. All you can do, is look at the board and make the best move you can come up with, or put your opponent in mating net and win the game. Because even if you sacrificed your queen, if you calculate right, you get a better result-checkmate. "

We are proud of you and look forward to seeing you reach for the stars!

It has been a busy and eventful month for our children! They had an exciting line up of activites to keep them well occupied this holiday period. Some of these activities included: a learning journey to Botanic Garden, a coding workshop, a Career GPS session on interior design and many more.

Thank you to all partners involved for organizing and engaging our children this holiday!

Recently, we held our first in-person Volunteer Appreciation Dinner since COVID-19 and it was a blast! Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization; putting aside their time and energy to impact our children's lives. It was our pleasure honoring their contribution and looking forward to 2023.

The night was filled with good food, cooked by our beneficiaries' parents, games, a performance by one of our students as well as a recap of what to expect in 2023. Thank you to the enthusiastic attendees and we look forward to welcoming another dedicated batch of volunteers in 2023.

T'is the season of giving! There was so much excitement in the air when the kids opened their gifts and received their back to school items.

We are thankful to all the donors and sponsors for the generous donation of Christmas gifts and back to school items this year. We would also like to thank the volunteers who helped us with the distribution of gifts to our beneficiaries' homes.

As we are coming to an end of 2022, we are grateful to all the corporates and individuals who have donated and contributed their time to us. Do keep a look out for our volunteering opportunities (regular, Ad hoc) on giving.sg or you can reach out to us directly if you are keen to be a partner.

You can register your interest to volunteer for 2023 here.
