LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - 6/12 RELEASE @ 12:35
From the Principal
Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families,
As we close out another school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we have accomplished together and express my sincere gratitude for your partnership and support.
This year has been filled with learning, growth, laughter, and countless memorable experiences for our students. From the first day of school to Beach Days, Field Day, classroom celebrations, and everything in between, our students have worked hard, shown resilience, built friendships, and continued to grow both academically and personally.
None of this would be possible without the incredible dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the enthusiasm our students bring to school each day. Cherrydale is a special place because of the people who make up our school community, and I feel fortunate to be part of it.
As summer begins, I encourage our students to continue exploring, reading, creating, playing, and spending time with family and friends. Summer is a wonderful opportunity to rest, recharge, and make new memories.
To our students moving on to new adventures next year, we wish you all the best and know you will continue to do great things. To our returning students and families, we look forward to welcoming you back in the fall for another exciting year of learning and growth.
On behalf of the entire Cherrydale staff, thank you for a fantastic school year. We wish all of our families a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break!
See you in the fall!
Warm Regards,
Christine Firth, Principal

The Unlikely Tale of Chase & Finnegan
Ms. Johansen’s third-grade class delighted audiences with three wonderful performances inspired by The Unlikely Tale of Chase & Finnegan. Through teamwork & imagination, the students brought this story to life on the Cherrydale stage. Their audience was captivated as they followed Chase and Finnegan’s journey—from their very first meeting to their becoming ambassadors in the Cheetah Conservation & Ambassador Program. Their hard work & collaboration made each performance a memorable celebration of learning and creativity.
Hi-Cap Visits Amazon
On June 3rd, the K-3rd grade Highly Capable Program classes at Chloe Clark, Cherrydale, and Anderson Island took a field trip to the Amazon Fulfillment Center in DuPont to learn about large scale logistics. 61 students and 21 adults attended and we were all amazed by how truly large scale it was. They gave us vests, lanyards personalized for our group, snacks and sunglasses.
A big THANK YOU to Steilacoom Kiwanis for providing funds for our bus transportation.
