Family Update
Davis Middle School
September 26, 2025
Happy Friday, Davis Families!
What a great week at Davis! I had some time to get into quite a few classrooms this week and it was awesome to see the students so hard at work, and the staff providing such engaging lessons and activities. We are proud of the focus the students are showing. I recommend taking a few minutes to ask your students what they are learning in their classes. They can show you their Schoology pages and also tell you all about Book-O-Clock every Wednesday. I can tell you that it is 15 minutes that we all look forward to each week!
Have a great weekend.
Go Irish!
Jaime

Redistricting Public Input Opportunity: Review & Feedback on High School Boundaries
Dublin City Schools invites families to attend upcoming Public Input Sessions with Draft Maps on Monday, September 29. These sessions are an opportunity to review draft high school boundary maps and share feedback before boundaries are finalized. Cropper GIS will present in the Performing Arts Center, followed by a review of proposed boundaries in the Commons. The first session will take place at Coffman High School at 6:00 p.m., followed by a second session at Jerome High School at 7:30 p.m. Families are welcome to attend the session that is most convenient for them. We hope to see you there as we work to balance student populations and plan for future growth!
Chromebook Reminders:
Tech fees must be paid now to be covered for the remainder of the school year. If the tech fee is not paid, the student’s family will be responsible for any repair costs.
✅ Tech Fee: The $50 annual technology fee covers repairs caused by unintentional damage https://payschoolscentral.com/
It’s very important to keep the protective cover on student Chromebooks at all times.
To ensure the longevity and functionality of Chromebooks issued to students, each device is equipped with a protective snap-on case. This case is specifically designed to protect the Chromebook from impacts, scratches, and general wear and tear.
Important Guidelines:
Keep the Case On: Students must keep the protective case intact at all times to safeguard the device and maintain eligibility for repairs.
Do Not Remove Without Authorization: If the protective case is intentionally removed without explicit permission from the building principal, the device will no longer be eligible for repair coverage under the district's policy.
Damaged or Lost Case Replacement: If the protective case is damaged or needs to be replaced, the cost to replace it is $25, which will be charged to the student’s account. Please contact Davis librarian Meggan Aston if you need a replacement cover. aston_meggan@dublinschools.net

Fall MAP Student Data
The MAP assessments give us the ability to measure student achievement and academic growth across time. Students participate in the MAP Reading and MAP Math assessments during designated benchmark windows throughout the year (Reading: Grades 2-8, Math: Grades 1-8). The MAP 2-5 and MAP 6+ assessments allow us to identify students as gifted in the areas of math and/or reading. MAP scores in the 95th-99th percentile meet the Ohio Department of Education requirements for gifted identification. Students scoring in the range for a gifted identification on the MAP assessment will be supported in their regular classroom setting through high-quality, differentiated instruction. MAP results are now visible to parents in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please follow the steps below to find your child's Fall MAP results:
