Sentinel Snapshot

May gets super busy for us...and likely you too! Today's were sending our softball team off to districts, baseball, soccer, track and field, and golf are still making progress towards state. Tomorrow is Prom night, and I told our seniors this week to make really smart and safe choices so they don't jeopardize their participation in graduation. As I reminded the kids, walking in their cap and gown is a privilege that can be removed for disciplinary issues at (or after) Prom. If you have a senior, it'd be really great if you would reinforce that too!

But, we have great kids, and I am confident that they will represent themselves and their families well! And speaking of our soon-to-be graduates, next Tuesday is Senior Awards Night in the Gym at 6:00pm. If your student is receiving an award of any kind they have been invited, and we hope you can join us. It's a really fun event, and the first big oh-my-gosh-this-is-almost-over item on the calendar. One more item, Senator T'wina Nobles will be visiting campus next week to chat with our student-leaders about the importance of accessing student aid for postsecondary education.

And, as always, it's a great day to be a Sentinel! - Jake

With our new Yearbook Plus feature with additional digital photos, even more students get to be in the spotlight. There are less than 60 units left, so buy your book today at Jostens.com before they sell out and remember this year worth sharing!
