📣 Reminder to sign up for the app if you haven't already. The SDM app is for all families!

Bus and Daycare Families, get email or text notifications when your child has left school each day.
Car Line Families, SDM is needed to check-in. Please also use your car sign placard, which also helps us quickly identify your child and bring them to your vehicle. Contact office@artsacademyecs.org if you need additional placards.
After-School Program Families, check in with SDM to help us dismiss your child quickly, safely and without blocking the parking lot.

Please submit our Military Family Survey! There are 2 parts:

1. Tell us if your child has a parent or guardian currently serving in the US Military. If you are not an active duty military family, there is no need to submit this form.

2. Optional: Share your family US Military veterans. We will acknowledge them in a Veteran's Day activity and social media post this November!

Our online Book Fair opens that week as well. Add money to your child's online wallet so they can safely make purchases during their assigned Book Fair Day! Details will be sent home soon!

All students who achieve 95% or higher attendance this year will take part in a special incentive activity in June!

Did you know:

95% Attendance equates to no more than 10 absences by the end of the school year. That's about 1 day each month.
School attendance is required by law.
Arriving late and leaving early adds up and still counts as missing school.
A written excuse is required within 3 days of an absence. Allowable excuses include illness, appointments, religious holidays or death in the family. Please note, lack of transportation is not an allowable excuse.
Good attendance will be rewarded! Keep an eye out for more information our 95% Attendance Incentive!

Help your child "Make 95" with these habits:

Set a consistent bedtime
Prepare the night before
Allow ample time in the morning
Schedule appointments before or after school when possible.
Get Involved! Parent involvement promotes a healthy attitude toward school and attendance.

Missing 1 or 2 days each month can make it harder to: • Gain reading & math skills. • Build relationships. • Develop good attendance habits. Parent involvement helps promote good attendance! Volunteer to read, chaperone a trip or support school events! Attending school regularly in elementary sets the foundation for good habits that will last through high school and the workplace. Arriving late regularly causes children to miss entire reading or math lessons. Minutes missed add up to days absent.

AAECS is proud to be a federally-recognized CEP School (Community Eligibility Provision), providing free meals for all students.

Reminder: If you qualified for public community benefits last year, you must submit a new application to qualify again, Complete your application in our School Cafe app!
