Volleyball
On Tuesday, the KHS girls varsity and JV volleyball teams hosted Jefferson, and our entire student body - plus our district 8th graders - were there to cheer them on! It was a high-energy atmosphere and a great part of our Kinnelon High School Spirit Week and Homecoming Week. You can watch the live broadcast at the link below. A big thanks to Mr. deWaal's Digital Communication students for broadcasting the event!
Following the Jefferson game, a school-wide volleyball tournament kept students and staff together for an afternoon of friendly competition, teamwork, school spirit -- and food trucks! The senior boys and girls both took home wins!
A huge thank you to Coach Finke, Coach Manco, and everyone who made this event happen!
Spirit Dances!
Pocket Change Wars
Thank you to everyone who donated! We raised $526.94, which will used to buy supplies for care packages for Shelter Our Soldiers.
KHS-Hosted Trunk or Treat! October 30
PRM, Stonybrook, & Kiel-Sisco Schools are invited to KHS for a Trunk or Treat! October 30: 11:45am - 1:15pm
Every KHS student is encouraged to get involved in one of three ways!
- Juniors & Seniors with a car can select a theme and decorate their trunk to match the theme! Then, these students are invited to pass out 'treats' to PRM, Stonybrook, & Kiel-Sisco students! Juniors & Seniors must complete this FORM for approval by October 16th in order to sign up to participate!
- Clubs, Activities, & Athletic Teams are invited to do the same as Juniors & Seniors with a car. They will select a theme and decorate a table to match, distributing "treats" to the elementary and middle school students as well! Students participating with an athletic team, club, or activity must complete THIS FORM by October 16th in order to participate!
- Students can also volunteer to support an elementary class during the Trunk or Treat! KHS students must complete this VOLUNTEER APPROVAL FORM to express interest by October 16th!
After participating in the Trunk or Treat, PRM students and District staff are invited to cast their vote for their three favorite decorated trunks! The three Junior & Senior car trunks with the highest number of votes will each win a gift card, compliments of the KHSA! Thank you, KHSA!

College Applications
College Application Palooza has begun! Mrs. Lanzl and Mrs. McClain have been holding college information and application meetings with seniors. This week the counselors sent out emails with a "To Do List" of items that have not yet been received. Parents who are looking for more information on the college application process can view the Senior Parent Night Presentation from 9/24 if they were not able to watch it live last week. Please encourage your seniors to set up a meeting if they have any questions or need assistance! FAFSA opened up October 1st. This is important if you would like your child to be considered for federal, state and college based financial aid. If you missed Ed Zamora's Financial Night Presentation, you can check out his YouTube channel for tons of videos and helpful information.
