Who?

Mandatory event for current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade Akins Students. They will join the future members of the Akins Eagle Band for the evening! (Includes 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students)


Senior are welcomed but not required.

Student Schedule

  • 5:00pm - Logistics Meeting in the Band Hall
  • 5:45pm - New Student Check-In at Akins Band Hall
  • 6:00pm - Introductions and Section Greetings
  • 6:15pm - "Stand Tune" Rehearsal & Bonding Activities
  • 8:15pm - Performance for Parents
  • 8:30pm - AEB "Band 101" Ends


Students will need to be picked up from Akins HS no later than 8:45pm.
