Greetings, WE families,

Thanks to everyone who came to our Fall Fest! We had a really fun time. Our PTA did an amazing job. Marci Roberts has led this event for the last four years, and every year she and the team of volunteers make sure it is a beautiful day of family fun.

The auction was a success too! I am excited to have two amazing Principals for a Day! As you know, we have started our FUSS-FREE Fundraiser. It really is fuss-free! You and your child are not asked to sell anything to family and co-workers. The excitement about the water balloon challenge is growing. A few friends have already expressed excitement, while others are not sure whether throwing a water balloon at the principal is a good idea. It is ok. If we meet the goal, I will take each water balloon for the cause. So, when we meet our goal, plan to join us right after our October Community Circle. Please make your donation now.

November 3rd is Election Day and a Remote Learning Day. Students will have an assignment Choice Board featuring learning activities to complete at home. Your child's teacher will send that home in their Communication Folder next week.

Another school event that you want to be sure to plan for is our Holiday Lunch on Thursday, November 12th. We will be sharing more information about reservations in the coming weeks.

It is always great to have families join us for our Parent-Teacher conferences. This is always a great time to hear about the progress your child is making at school this year. We have many things happening over the next several weeks. Don't forget to mark your calendars for these upcoming Westchester events:

  • October 19th- 30th: Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • October 28th: 12:50 Early Release; Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • October 30th: Community Circle - All invited

  • November 3rd: Election Day - Remote Learning Day

  • November 5th: Kindergarten Field Trip to Yellow River Game Ranch

  • November 10th: School Board meeting

  • November 12th: Holiday Lunch

  • November 20th: Community Circle - All invited

  • November 23rd - 27th: Thanksgiving Break

From your very grateful principal,

Christine Knox

FUSS-FREE FUNDRAISER

The PTA's FUSS-FREE FUNDRAISER kicks off at Fall Fest on October 18! This is an easy-breezy fundraiser, and all we ask is that you donate what you can. This fundraiser helps us keep event admission (like Fall Fest!) free. Our goal is to raise $10,000, which comes to about $85 per family.

At the end of the fundraiser, kids get to THROW WATER BALLOONS AT MS. KNOX!!! We'll celebrate the end of the fundraiser after Community Circle on October 30. That gives us less than two weeks to reach our goal, so expect a few friendly reminders along the way!

Fuss Free covers:

Fall Festival $1,000

Field Trips $1,300

Yearbooks $2,370

Staff Luncheons $1,300

Teacher/Staff Development $750

Celebrations $1,100
