Message From Mr. Faehndrich
Principal of Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School
It continues to be an exciting and busy time at EMS, with so much to celebrate across our school community. Our band students had the incredible opportunity to perform at a recent Devils game, representing our school with pride and talent. At the same time, preparations are well underway for our upcoming spring musical, and we look forward to seeing the hard work of our students and staff come to life on stage. As we approach the end of the marking period and transition into the final trimester, we encourage all students to stay focused and finish strong.
Beyond the classroom, our students and staff continue to excel in a variety of ways. One highlight was our recent student vs. teacher volleyball game, which brought great energy, school spirit, and a lot of fun to our community. Our FBLA students delivered an outstanding performance at their recent conference, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments. Additionally, our teachers recently engaged in meaningful professional development, working collaboratively to identify students who would benefit from more targeted, personalized instruction using i-Ready data. We are also proud to have members of our faculty attending the NJAMLE Conference, bringing back ideas and strategies to further strengthen our school. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Attendance
It matters!!
We have noticed an uptick in student absences recently and wanted to take a moment to remind families of the importance of consistent school attendance. Daily classroom experiences, discussions, and collaborative activities can't be replicate for missing students. For maximum success, students need to stay connected to their learning and maintain momentum as we approach the final trimester.
We also want to remind families of the proper procedure for reporting absences. All absences must be reported through the Genesis Parent Portal. If your child will be missing school for any reason, please log in to your account and submit the absence notification as early as possible. This streamlined process helps our office staff stay informed and ensures your child’s records are kept up to date.

FBLA Conference Landslide Victory
The FBLA club attended their first State Leadership Conference today at Kean University. Thanks to everyone who supported our fundraisers, our members had an amazing experience at the conference. Students participated in engaging workshops and interactive business and leadership activities throughout the day.
The FBLA club is incredibly proud to share a HUGE accomplishment. Out of all the middle schools in the state, only the Top 10 students were recognized for their objective tests… and Eisenhower earned 7 of those 10 spots!
Way to represent and make history. Go Eisenhower FBLA!!
