Shout outs
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing community supporters for helping make Teacher Appreciation Week so special!
We are so grateful to Twins Pizza, Pita Way, PTO, Athletic Boosters and ELGA Credit Union for all of the wonderful goodies, treats, and support you donated for our staff throughout the week. Your generosity and kindness truly made our teachers feel appreciated and celebrated.
Thank you for supporting our educators and everything they do for our students each and every day!
Attendance Challenge
The Race to the Finish Attendance Challenge was a fun way to focus on trying to improve attendance. Attendance data was collected on a weekly basis from March 1 to April 30th. The class with the highest average attendance for the 8 week challenge was awarded a pancake breakfast on Monday, May11. Breakfast was prepared by Mr. Williams. The winning class with an average attendance rate of 91% was the Sophomore class. Students enjoyed the breakfast and had their fill of pancakes.

FAFSA
The U.S. Department of Education announced that the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is officially open!
As always, we appreciate your efforts to encourage as many students as possible to submit the FAFSA form. Remember, we are here to support you along with way. There are a number of resources available on our Web site including the FAFSA Awareness Toolkit.
Last year, FAFSA completion across the state was over 55% and we know that we can increase that number with your help to ensure that Michiganders maximize their aid eligibility. Let’s make this happen together!

Traver Talk
As we continue to highlight the incredible efforts of our students, this is a wonderful time to recognize those who have demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence throughout the year. With end-of-year celebrations underway, the pride and excitement in our building continue to grow - our Mustangs have so much to celebrate!
We are proud to recognize 195 students for their hard work and dedication this year. The Underclassmen Honors Celebration is on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 10:15 at PRIDE Stadium. Families are warmly invited to attend as we recognize their achievements.
- First-year honor students will receive an academic letter (similar to a varsity letter) along with a certificate.
- Second- and third-year honor students will receive a pin in addition to their certificate.
Following the ceremony, students are invited to stay and enjoy an ice cream social as we celebrate together.
We are proud of each and every one of these students and look forward to recognizing their hard work as we finish the year strong with our Mustang community!
