Open Enrollment Reminder
If you applied for open enrollment at Summit View for a 2026-2027 kindergarten student, remember to log back in to see your offers! Parents can see open enrollment offers in the EngagED Parent Portal now, and have until December 17th at 4:00 pm, to log back in and accept any offers.
Wish Week Is Coming!
Wish Week is the time of the year where the entire Mountain Vista High School community comes together to raise as much money as possible for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish Foundation helps families with a child suffering from a life-threatening illness by granting their wish. This could be meeting a celebrity, going on a vacation, etc. MVHS adopts one Wish Kid each year to rally around and fulfill their wish. To support their fundraising, MVHS sells shirts and slides (shoes) to the community - keep an eye on your email for a special Wish Week blast with links to purchase this year's Wish Week shirt and other items to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
Drop Off and Attendance Reminders
Mornings can be hectic, especially when the snow flies! As you are dropping your student(s) off at school, please remember:
- utilize the car loop for student drop off - please don't let students out in the parking lot area.
- if it is 8:35 or later, your student is considered tardy and needs to be signed in at the front desk by a parent or guardian.
- please call the attendance line at 303-387-6727 if your student will be late or absent.
Partnering for School Safety: Visitor Norms
At Heritage, we are committed to creating a safe and focused learning environment for every student. We deeply value the involvement of our families and community members, as you are essential partners in our educational mission! To ensure that our campus remains secure and that instructional time is protected, we require every adult entering the school during operational hours to adhere to the following procedures:
All visitors and volunteers must check in at the front desk immediately upon arrival. This process is handled by our dedicated front office staff and involves presenting a valid ID for scanning into our secure visitor management system.
Visible Identification is Required: Upon checking in, you will be issued a sticker or badge. This sticker or badge must be visible and clearly display your name at all times while you are on school grounds.
Purpose-Driven Visits: Once you have checked in, please proceed directly to your intended destination (e.g., a scheduled meeting, volunteer location). Unscheduled classroom visits are disruptive to the learning environment, so if you need to speak with a teacher, please arrange this in advance via email or phone.
Check-Out: Before leaving the campus, please stop at the front office to officially check out.
We understand that these procedures add a few moments to your arrival. Thank you for helping us maintain a warm, welcoming, and most importantly, secure environment where our students can thrive!

Make a Wish Fundraiser
🧑🏫✈️ Send Your Teacher to the North Pole: A Make-A-Wish Fundraiser! Help Us Grant Wishes & Win a Class Party!
The Challenge: We are raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation! We are challenging our students to see which classrooms can raise the most donations to send their teacher on an imaginary trip to the North Pole!
The Reward: The winning classroom in each division gets an amazing party while their teacher is "gone"!
How to Send Your Teacher North!
The Goal: Every dollar donated goes directly to Make-A-Wish.
The Score: $1.00 donated = $1.00 for your classroom.
The Divisions: There will be TWO winning classes!
Primary Winner: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
Intermediate Winner: 3rd Grade – 6th Grade
Donations: All donations must be clearly marked with your Teacher's Name to ensure the donations are counted toward the correct classroom. Donate as often as you would like between Dec. 1 - Dec.12th.
The Grand Prize!
The teacher whose classroom earns the most money in their division will be "sent to the North Pole" for a special 40 minute time.
