TABSE TESTIMONY
NOVEMBER 2025

Message from the TABSE 15th President
Dear Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (TABSE),
As we step into a new season of service and impact, I am filled with immense gratitude for our TABSE family. Our Membership Drive concluded on October 31, and I am thrilled to welcome our newest members and celebrate those who renewed their commitment. Your continued belief in our mission strengthens our collective ability to uplift, advocate, and advance educational excellence across Texas.
This year, TABSE membership truly has its privileges. Membership isn’t just a title—it is a professional investment that pays dividends. For only $100, members immediately receive $100 off registration for the upcoming TABSE State Conference, meaning your membership pays for itself on day one. Beyond that, the value multiplies through our ongoing programming, resources, and opportunities designed to elevate your leadership journey.
Members enjoy access to powerful professional learning through our monthly TABSE Masterclasses, learning CPE credits while gaining insight from state and national leaders. Our network continues to flourish as we connect educators, scholars, and advocates who are united in purpose and practice. Members can present research through the Dr. James A. Johnson Research Institute and contribute scholarship to the TABSE Research Journal—amplifying the voices and expertise of Black educators across our state.
TABSE equips and empowers educators with meaningful tools, timely policy updates, podcasts,
webinars, and high-impact resources. And most importantly, we cultivate leadership—offering spaces to serve, grow, and influence systems that shape the present and future of public education.
As we prepare to support our national affiliate at the 53rd Annual NABSE Conference in Chicago this December, we proudly continue our tradition of sending TABSE members to serve, contribute, and lead at the national level. Our alignment with NABSE is intentional and essential. When we strengthen our national presence, we strengthen our local impact. Our commitment to support and elevate the national organization ensures that the voices of Texas educators remain at the forefront of transformative work happening across the country.
Colleagues, remain grounded in the work. Continue producing evidence, artifacts, and results that show measurable impact for our students, campuses, and communities. Together, we are building something remarkable—rooted in excellence, advocacy, scholarship, and service.
Thank you for your commitment to our mission and your belief in our collective purpose.
We Are One – Moving Forward with intentionality and purpose.

From recognizing our school psychologists, educational support professionals, and substitute teachers—to promoting kindness, character, and education—each observance offers a chance to uplift others and strengthen our shared mission of care and connection.
Let’s take time this month to show appreciation, spread awareness, and celebrate the incredible individuals who make a difference all year long. 💛
