Gratitude Shout Out!
Help us celebrate our amazing staff members at Evening Street! Share a message of gratitude for a teacher or staff member who has positively impacted your child or family. You can keep your shout out anonymous if you'd like. Your message will be shared with them through a certificate of appreciation. This form will be available through November 24.
Fall Harvest Parade
We will have our fall harvest parade beginning promptly at 1:30. If the weather allows, parents will be outside in the middle of the soccer/basketball courts and along the grass at the back of the building. If we are needing to be inside, parents will be able to view the students from the middle of the gym or the cafeteria. If parents are remaining for the party (with teacher approval first), they will need to sign in as a visitor at the office. If parents are signing their child out before 2:30, they will need to come to the office to sign their child out.
Additionally:
-costumes should not be worn to school
-costumes cannot contain gore, blood or weapons (or items that could be perceived as a weapon)
Kidz Home Alone
There is a new after school class being offered to support children in 4th and 5th grade that may be home alone. Please check out the Community Connections newsletter for more information.
Veteran's Day Assembly
Calling all Veterans!
We want to honor Veterans on November 11th at 9:15 for a special concert given by the third-grade students (to be held in our school gym). We will also have a guest speaker. If you know a Veteran in your family or community, please extend this invitation.
Yearbook Names
Our Yearbook committee is starting already! One of the steps to support the completion of the yearbook is to seek input on how parents would like their child's name to appear in the yearbook (such as a nickname). Please complete the short google form to share how you would like their name in the yearbook; if we do not get a submission, their name will appear according to their legal name that is in our system. https://forms.gle/tatLQN1x5Qim7mdP6
Kasey's Gift
To honor the memory of Kasey Burleson, friends and family collect new toys and clothes for children in need. This drive has been occurring since 2008! The 19th annual toy drive will be held on November 7 from 11-4pm at the Target on Sawmill Road. See the attachment for more information.
Memorial Bench
The Shaker Square neighborhood association is pleased to share that the memorial bench and tree for Carrie Lowden have been installed in Shaker Square Park by the City of Worthington Parks Department.
Thank you to the many Evening Street families who contributed to this project to honor Carrie. Please stop by and visit the bench. Street parking is available by the two park entrances on Middlebury Court and Middlebury Drive North.
Community Connections
All of our community groups and after school classes can be found in our Evening Street Community Connections Newsletter. Click the "Evening St. Community Connections Newsletter" title to find out more. There are new opportunities, after school activities, and community events added often!

Your Child's Library Account
Did you know families can access their child’s library account? You may view books currently checked out, see due dates, and keep track of your child’s reading materials—all in one place. Click HERE to learn more.
If you're trying to log on to the INFOhio site to see how many overdue library books your child has and your computer is not accessing the site from a Worthington school there is an extra step. INFOhio posted a youtube video about it:
