ALL IN ON ATTENDANCE - SHOW UP TO SHINE!
With holidays approaching, maintaining strong attendance is key to finishing the semester successfully. Every day before break is a valuable learning day.
Missing just 1 week in November can cause students to lose up to 20% of a grading period’s content.
The late bell rings at 7:40am. Students should be in their classroom ready to learn at that time.
Please email gudinon@fultonschools.org and copy your child’s teacher when your child is absent.
MORNING PROGRAM INFORMATION
Did you know your child gets to play in the gym in the mornings?
So, get them there at 7:10 to get play time! See below for the schedule.
STUDENT SUCCESS SKILLS
Student Success Skills (SSS) are Fulton County School's standards for the skills needed to demonstrate mastery of academic and interpersonal skills needed for college, career, and life success. These six skills are taught in all schools, by all teachers, to all students. Each skill has corresponding standards across grade levels.
As a parent, you can help your child with these skills on a weekly basis through the rethinkEd Home Connections. Each week the links will change with new ideas on how to help your child learn. Click on the links below to help your child learn how their brain works!

WHAT IS TITLE I?
Title I is a federally funded program designed to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic standards and state academic assessments. The Title I program focuses on the academic needs of the most disadvantaged students.

An assessment is a systematic process for measuring an individual’s abilities based on empirical data. When you assess a person, you simply match their skills, behaviors against certain parameters, to give you a fair sense of their strengths and weaknesses.
Assessments can be standardized or fluid, depending on the context. For example, formative assessments happen throughout the learning process and provide real-time feedback. On the other hand, summative assessments compare what a person knows to the expected level of knowledge required for a specific context.
On Thursday January 29, 2026, at 5:30 PM, EJ held a Parent University
This Parent University covered GA Milestone Assessment. If you were not able to attend, you can still review the presentation.
EJ Parent University - Assessment FY25-26
EJ Parent University - Assessment FY25-26 (Spanish)
Kids live at school. They spend about 900 to 1,000 hours per year in school, according to the Center for Public Education. While that sounds like a lot, kids in India and China go to school about 25-30% longer, so parents and caregivers need to make sure their kids are getting the best education possible during those hours. Let's look at the best ways to help make sure that happens for your kids.
Top 10 Things Parents Can Do to Help Kids
THE NATIONAL PTA WEBSITE - The Parents’ Guides to Student Success were developed by teachers, parents, and education experts in response to the Common Core State Standards that more than 45 states have adopted. Guides for grades K-8 Schools are available in both English and Spanish. These grade level guides will let you know what your student is expected to know.
EJ STUDENTS TRY NEW FRUITS AND VEGGIES!
The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program is a USDA federally funded grant providing all enrolled students in participating elementary schools with a variety of free fresh fruit and vegetables during the school day – separate from the lunch or breakfast meal. The goal of this program is to expand the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience in a healthy school environment, increase consumption of fruits and vegetables and to make a positive impact on the students' future health.
This week the kids tried:
Tuesday, January 27 - Lady Alice Apple
Wednesday, January 28 - Minneola
Friday, January 30 - Kale
