Hello Navigators,

This week is the Great Kindness Challenge. All week we will discuss kindness and students will participate in a challenge to be kind in a variety of ways. Our Student Lighthouse Leadership team chose spirit days and kindness activities that we will be doing during recess. See this flyer for information about all the spirit days. Tomorrow is twin day, if you have not arranged to dress the same as someone else, wear Nichols gear or blue and you will have lots of twins!

Friday we will have our Leader of the Month flag salutes starting for 3rd-5th grade at 8:15 and at 8:45 for TK-2nd.

As a Leader in Me School we practice the 7 Habits. These habits are helpful in many aspects of life. Below are resources to emphasize the habits at home.

The BASE PROGRAM provides Before & After School care. If you are interested in enrolling your Child, please contact them through their website.

We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Pauels who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.

Oceanside Unified School District has partnered with Care Solace to help families in need of mental health support. This services can help quickly find available services. We know there are times when issues come up that need to be resolved. OUSD has created a chain of communication that allows for an efficient resolution process. This is now located on our school’s website under “Our School” called Chain of Communication.
