An Update from the Principal
Hello All,
I hope you are well, had a great weekend, and all is good. I want to celebrate our collective achievement—the prom. It was a resounding success, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students. They looked stunning and had a memorable time, making us all proud. Thanks to Emily, Sophia, and Elizabeth for the planning. And thank you to Whitney, Ally T., DJ Laurel, Amy G., Stephani K., and Matt M. for their chaperoning duties.
We are so close. This is a big week. This is the last week of classes; next week is a Green Day, then two retake days, and we encourage everyone to stay focused until June 20th.
This week, we have the opportunity to celebrate our graduating class of 2024. We start the festivities on Wednesday with the senior breakfast, followed by the awards ceremony at 2:00 and graduation at 5:00 on Friday.
It will be a wonderful and fun week!
Please remember, we are here to support you. If there's anything we can do to assist you, please don't hesitate to let us know. We appreciate all your work, time, dedication, and communication. We look forward to seeing you all throughout the week.
Sincerely,
Jason

Extended Learning Opportunities
Food, Farm, and Society - Unique Summer Opportunity
Now in its 11th year, this summer program offers students academic credit along with pay for the work associated with food production.
The class will meet for 20 days over the course of 4 weeks. The weeks are spread out to coincide with the work needed and the educational opportunities available as the growing season progresses.
The daily schedule is broken down into roughly 3 hours of experiential education, and 2 hours of work. This will yield one semester of Science credit and 40 hours of work at $14.00/hr.
The class will meet at Montpelier High School where students have access to 2 greenhouses, a chicken coop, an aquaponics system, numerous gardens, 2 beehives, and an earthen pizza oven, in addition to traditional academic resources. There will be field trips to local farms and food processing facilities. The class is led by Tom Sabo, a certified science teacher.
The class is being offered to students at Montpelier High School, U32, Twinfield, Northfield, Spaulding, Randolph Union and Harwood Union. Given the experiential nature of the class, it is limited to 12 students.
Volunteer This Summer!
Looking to give back to the community this summer?
Montpelier Senior Activity Center (MSAC) needs volunteers to help with the FEAST Senior Meals Program, during the summer months. Delivering Meals on Wheels for older adults who are homebound, either weekly or on an occasional basis (11:30 am to 12:30 pm)
Helping with “Grab ‘N Go” meals on Thursdays in July, 4:00 to 6:00 pm
Volunteering on “pie day”: - pass out pies for a fundraiser, 1st Wednesday of month, 4:00 to 6:00 pm
Processing farm fresh produce with a team, often on Fridays
Dishwashing with a team, your choice of weekday, 1:00 to 3:00 pm
