Upcoming Events
AVID at Springer Middle School
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college and career readiness program that helps students develop the skills, habits, and confidence they need to succeed in school and prepare for their future.
At Springer Middle School, AVID students receive support in organization, time management, note-taking, reading, writing, study skills, collaboration, and goal setting. Students also explore colleges, careers, and future opportunities through classroom activities, guest speakers, research, and field trips.
AVID is offered to students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. The program is designed to bridge the gap between where students are today and where they want to be in the future by providing structure, encouragement, and high expectations.
With the support of their families, teachers, and AVID staff, students are encouraged to take ownership of their education, set goals, and develop the skills needed to be successful in high school, college, careers, and beyond.
Yearbook
Help Design the 2026–2027 Yearbook Cover!
Springer students are invited to enter our Yearbook Cover Contest! Create an original, hand-drawn design answering the question: What does being a Springer Bulldog mean to you?
The winning artwork will be featured on the front cover of the yearbook, and the winning artist will receive a free yearbook!
All entries must be created on bright white 8.5" × 11" paper in portrait orientation. Students may use crayons, colored pencils, or markers—no digital artwork, tracing, or glitter. Please write the student’s name and grade in pencil on the back.
Entries are due September 28 and should be turned in to Ms. Harris in Room 229. See the attached flyer for complete contest rules and details.

Math League
Calling all math enthusiasts! Springer is looking for students interested in joining the Math League. Team members will put their problem-solving skills to the test while competing against other Delaware schools in four meets throughout the year. If you enjoy math, friendly competition, and a challenge, please let your math teacher know that you are interested!
Attendance Notifications
Attendance Reminder: We recently began sending automated absence notifications at 4:00 p.m. each school day when a student is marked absent for one or more class periods. If you receive a call and believe it was sent in error, please allow time for any attendance corrections to be entered and updated in the system. Thank you for your patience as we implement this new process!
Schoology
Did you know that parents can access Schoology and see their child(ren)'s classes and assignments? We encourage parents to create an account if they have not done so. You'll need a parent access code in order to follow the steps in the linked video below.
