Congratulations Pierce School 4th Grade Singers, and Thank You, Mrs. Neilssen!
At the Choral Concert on Tuesday, 3/26, 4th Grade Students across the district came together to sing at the ConVal High School Concert. Thank you to all students who were able to come out and share their beautful voices with parents, students and the community! You sounded beautiful and represented Pierce School wonderfully! Excellent job! The final song, "Carry the Light" was an amazingly touching song and was sure to make anyone glad to have heard you!
We also want to thank Mrs. Neilssen for her incredible work with students to prepare for this concert, and for her incredible collaboration with fellow music and chorus teachers throughout ConVal School District! This was a spectacular performance and we are so honored to have you as our music teacher! Wonderful performance everyone!, we are so proud of you all!
Music Notes from Mrs. Neilssen:
We had a great and busy week of music!
- Kindergarten learned about high and low sounds and how to create a musical "slide" from high to low and low to high.
- 1st and 2nd graders studied the musical alphabet, specifically MI and SOL. They played many songs and silly games to practice singing the MI SOL pattern.
- 3rd graders started playing recorder and they learned fast! Mrs. Neilssen had only planned to teach two notes, but they learned 4!
- 4th graders finished up ukulele and also reviewed recorder from last year.
