April Adventures at HES!

This month brought beautiful weather and incredible energy to the Hopewell campus, setting the stage for a day full of fun, laughter, and lots of color at our HES Color Run. Be sure to click HERE to check out a cute video from the event!

We kept the momentum going with Green Week at HES, a special time dedicated to taking learning beyond the classroom. Students enjoyed planting, walking, exploring, and getting their hands a little dirty along the way. It was a wonderful opportunity to embrace the outdoors, stay active, and engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences. Here’s to making the most of our outdoor spaces!

We also enjoyed our 3rd Annual HES Talent Show, hosted by Student Council. With over 300 attendees, our 3rd–5th grade students lit up the stage with singing, dancing, magic, and more — such an unforgettable night. To cap off the month, we celebrated our youngest learners at the beloved Kindergarten Donuts with Grownups event.

To begin the month of May, we lucked out with the weather and were able to enjoy a beautiful May Day Celebration! The sun was shining, the breeze was perfect, and our students had a wonderful time showing off their dancing skills around the Maypole. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy this joyful tradition with us!

We’re so excited for a warm and busy May — scroll down to see what’s coming up.

Time Capsule Unveiled

We recently uncovered a hidden piece of HES history, a time capsule tucked into the brick wall outside the cafeteria from the 1996 addition! It was opened during our April Whole School Meeting, and the contents are now on display outside the front office. Check out the contents below or stop by, take a look, and enjoy a glimpse into the past.

As we celebrate this special find, we’re also looking ahead! Plans are underway to create a new time capsule in honor of our upcoming 100th anniversary before the end of the school year. Start thinking about what we should include to represent HES today!
