Brydger is a very engaged student in our class providing great insight in our discussions and allowing other students the opportunity to find success as well. He does not overshadow the class with his comments but is always there and ready to chip in and share his understanding to enhance our discussions.

Brydger's friendly and accepting personality also has a goof measure of competition that helps stretch our class members to be their best. He is engaged in competition wrestling which requires finesse and thoughtful planning which also shows in his work. He is always adding to his skill set, whether it be reading, writing, critical thinking, or exploring and wondering about our world.

I feel so very fortunate to have Brydger in our class as he helps me stretch myself and raises the possibilities for all class members. Brydger is a true friend to everyone.

Meet Ms. Benson

I've been teaching for 35 years and have been at Davis Connect for almost 6 years. I LOVE the kids, and I love being able to work from home so I can spend time with my cute dog, Maisie, and get things done around the house between classes. I grew up on a farm feeding bum lambs from bottles and hope to retire to a farm someday!

My favorite thing to do is crochet little animals and creatures, and I love just about anything sweet. Chocolate is my downfall!!

Meet Ms. Judy

I just started at Davis Connect at the beginning of this school year. My exact role is titled a Success Mentor. I work with the Magnet students here at Davis Connect. I email them and let them know I am here to help if they need anything. I really enjoy being able to help students when they feel stuck when starting classes at Davis Connect. I love seeing students begin to succeed in their classes here.

My favorite treat is Sour Patch Watermelons, and my favorite restaurant is Texas Roadhouse.

A fun fact about me is that I lived in England for 8 months!

I also love playing with my kids and doing crafts with them. I am a mom to four kids, ages 8, 5, 2, and 5 months old.

Meet Ms. Moore

I have been teaching 6th grade at Davis Connect for 7 years. The best part of my job is that I get to interact with many different students across the district. It really is a privilege that I get to learn so much alongside my students.

Outside of Davis Connect, I enjoy being outdoors. I love to hike and ride four-wheelers with my family. In the summer, I enjoy early morning walks, and in the winter, I love to play in the snow.

I am learning to enjoy the journey and not just the destination.

At this month’s Soup with the Supt, we had the opportunity to celebrate a remarkable student who recently received the Superintendent Award. The award recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding character, leadership, and a positive impact on those around them. During the event, district leadership met with students in a relaxed setting to share a meal, celebrate accomplishments, and hear about their experiences. It was inspiring to learn how Corvo kindness, hard work, and commitment to helping others have made a difference both in and out of the classroom. Congratulations Corvo on this well-deserved recognition and for representing Davis Connect so well!

Davis Connect Fall Carnival Davis Connect Fall Carnival

Our Fall Carnival was a huge success and filled with laughter and fun! Students showed off their amazing costumes, enjoyed a variety of games and activities, and took part in one of the crowd favorites, the Cupcake Eating Contest! Contestants spun a wheel to determine the surprise topping that would be added to their cupcake before eating it. From sweet to silly combinations, the mystery toppings kept everyone laughing and cheering as students bravely tackled their unique creations. It was definitely one of the highlights of the day!

A special thank you goes out to all of our volunteers and everyone who donated items to help make the carnival possible. We would also like to recognize our SBOs for their hard work in helping plan and organize this event, along with the support of Ms. Hugie and Mr. King.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our generous community sponsors: Pack Farms (Farmington), Basic Witches Pumpkins (Syracuse), and Lee's Marketplace (North Salt Lake). Their support and contributions helped make this event even more special for our students and families.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this year's Fall Carnival such a fun and memorable event for our Davis Connect community. Thank you for helping create an afternoon full of smiles, treats, and great memories! 🎃🧁🍂✨
