GJPS Preschool Weekly Update

Throughout the school year, there are many different dates that are established to celebrate each of our amazing staff members that help the daily operations at our preschool program. Some of these include; custodians day, secretaries day, occupational therapy day, teacher appreciation week, school psychologist, paraprofessional day, etc.

Our Parent/Guardian Advisory Committee would like to host a celebratory luncheon on January 2, 2024 during the professional development day to honor all of these individuals at one time when they will be together.

Thank you for your support with helping us celebrate each of these staff members.

Preschool families at drop off and pick up we are asking that you do NOT park in the fire lane on the side of Clark Hall. This is a safety concern. Please park in designated parking spots. If there are specific accommodations needed for family members picking up/dropping off, please reach out to Missy Grimmett at grimmettm@gjps.org to discuss these needs further to make a plan for your child.

As a reminder, please know the time of your student's bus stop. We are happy to offer Here Comes the Bus as an aide for parents tracking their student's bus, but there may be some times when the app is not exact. We certainly do not want students to miss the bus, so please be sure your student is at their stop at the scheduled time. To remind yourself of your pickup time, visit our Transfinder page.

The Heart and Pride Award recognizes two outstanding staff members each month who make a profound impact on our students and Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.

The Heart & Pride Nomination Form will remain available year-round and is open to any member of our staff, regardless of position.

Each month, we are looking for family volunteers to shine some kindness through small treats/kind gestures with our staff at Goshen Lane Prechool and Clark Hall Preschool. This could be cookies, donuts, coffee etc. The kindness carts will take place the last Friday of each month.
