Principal's Message
“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.”-Benjamin Franklin
Dear Razorback Community,
What an incredible week it has been for our community! The momentum kicked off with our 5th graders striving to achieve their science goals on Monday. Following suit, our K-2nd graders excelled in crushing their reading and math goals on Tuesday and Wednesday. The determination didn't stop there—our 3rd-5th graders tackled their goals with fervor on Thursday and Friday.
In addition to academic achievements, we hosted our annual reading night and celebrated our December Razorbacks of the Month. This month's honorees marked a special milestone as the first group this year to have all selected students and their families in attendance—an invaluable and heartwarming moment. The HNT PTO also played a crucial role by selling the world's finest hot chocolate to support our Razorette Cheerleaders.
And let's not overlook our weekend highlights! On Saturday, our Razorback community actively participated in three district events. Four staff members, approximately 10 families, and over 20 runners joined the Oncore Kid’s Race. Meanwhile, our Hoggie Robotics team showcased their excellence, ranking 5th out of 22 schools at the Harmony School of Science in Garland. The pinnacle of our achievements was in the realm of Esports, where we made HOGG HISTORY. Our fourth-grader, Noah L., secured 3rd place out of 1,000 players, bringing home our first-ever Esports medal!
To our community and parents, a heartfelt thank you for your unwavering support in helping our vision at Hogg come to fruition. Let's unite and finish the semester strong!
Proud Principal of Hogg New Tech,
Ms. Molina
