A Message from the Principal
Dear Academy Families and Friends,
April is a few short days away! While the weather is still trying to make up its mind, one thing is for sure, things are really on the move here at Academy!
This past week we held several big events. MCAS returned for Grade 3 (they did great) as well as our annual March Madness 3v3 basketball tournament at Adams! Please be sure to check our facebook page for info and pictures! We also posted pics from our Wildcat Water Zone project, which lemon was the clear winner!
We also held our Panda Day parade. As most of you know, this is our 13th year supporting Panda conservation. Over the years, our school has raised over $11,000 to support the cause. Our goal is to teach our students that all we all have the power to do good for others and that when we all work together, lots of little acts of kindness can add up to a whole lot of good! It was also a great opportunity to have our older students team up and partner with our younger grade levels on special projects...After all, who doesn't just love Pandas; they are just so adorable!
Panorama Survey for Grades 3-5 will be back for the spring after April vacation. Please see the message below explaining the process. This will help us see how our school has been doing with our work on student belonging in addition to our work on student achievement.
For the week ahead, we have Parent Teacher Conferences are April 1st and 2nd! We can't wait to see all of our families!. We also want to make sure families know there will be a lunch menu change: Fun Lunch will be CEREAL for the week! We also want to let families know that we will hold a Red Sox Spirit Day on Thursday, which is also a half day for conferences. No need to buy anything...just wear your favorite Red Sox gear (or Red white and blue) to welcome back our favorite hometown team.
Best of luck to Ms. Rosemond's class as they take on Ms. Martin's 4th graders for the Championship of our March Mathness challenge in the finals!!!
Thank you for all of your support,
Mr. Patrick J. Higgins

Just a Reminder
26-27 Bus Applications: Bus applications for the 26-27 school year will be emailed to all families in May. Outstanding bus fees for the current school year must be resolved with the school to prevent delays in processing bus applications for next year.
Panorama Spring Survey
This is a reminder that students will be participating in a Panorama survey again this Spring. The survey asks students to reflect on topics such as emotion regulation, social awareness, supportive relationships, feelings, and belonging, and takes about 20 minutes to complete. Since opt-out forms were collected in the Fall, no further action is needed unless your preference has changed. If you would now like your child to opt out, please complete this Google Form by Friday, April 17th.
