As a part of the District's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) work, each school is forming a Community Engagement Team (CET). This team will support the work of our MA DEI Council, made up of students and staff members. Students had the opportunity to apply to be a member of the MA DEI Council by emailing me about their interest. This was presented in a recent town hall meeting to all students.

For parents/guardians: If you are interested in participating in the MA Community Engagement Team (CET), please email me at jdilks@lmtsd.org. Our first meeting will be in January.

We are starting to collect items for our Martin Luther King Day of Service activity in January. We will be tying fleece blankets to donate to a local youth organization, Valley Youth House, that serves children and teens who are experiencing emergency homelessness. We will also be collecting toiletries (shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes) to make care packages for this organization.

We are in need of toiletry donations. We are also looking for donations of the fleece blanket kits. These are sold on Amazon, at Jo-Ann Fabric, Walmart, AC Moore, and Hobby Lobby. Any size is appreciated. Collection bins will be in the MA lobby.

All of these activities help our students to think of others in their community. We hope you will support us in these efforts.

If your child tests postive for COVID-19, please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Melissa Huber, at mhuber@lmtsd.org. She will provide you with virtual learning and return to school information.

As we prepare to return to school in January, please keep in mind the Daily Health Monitoring Checklist and please do not send your child into school sick.

Boys Basketball tryouts begin Tuesday, January 4th in the Murray Avenue Upper Gym immediately following dismissal.

Students must have completed FamilyID registration and have a current PIAA physical.
