CHIPS Breakfast and Lunch

Many families have chosen to participate in the school breakfast/lunch program at CHIPS. I've included both the breakfast and lunch menus below for your reference. The menus rotate & repeat every 2 weeks. This week was week one.

Please keep in mind that our snack times at CHIPS are pretty brief, so if your child is getting a school meal, the likely won't need a snack from home as well.

Outdoor Play

Now that the weather has warmed up a bit and the snow has melted from our playground, we are going outside to play daily, weather permitting. Please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the weather and have them wear shoes they can run around in! Outdoor play is not only fun, it is great for a child's development! See below for outdoor play ideas.

Health News

Spring has arrived...which means SEASONAL allergies for many of us. If your child has environmental allergy symptoms (runny nose, itchy eyes, skin rash) please let the nurse or their teacher know. This may help determine illness from seasonal allergies. As always, please keep home if there is a fever, mucous/secretions are unmanageable and excessive, or if your child is uncomfortable and needs further medical attention for a possible infection (sinus/ear/lung).

Speaking of allergies, our school has many students with FOOD Allergies, including Peanut & Tree Nut. Please refrain from sending nut based products in for snack time. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Below are helpful links for sneezy ~ watery eye ~ allergies as well as helpful allergen-free snack information.

Please use our absence line (978-251-5188 Option 0) or use our attendance email (chipsattendance@chelmsford.k12.ma.us) to report your child's absence from school and be sure to state the reason for the absence (illness, appointment, travel, etc). If your child is out due to illness, please let us know the nature of the illness (fever, vomiting, cough, etc.).

Nurse Kristen can be reached by calling the CHIPS main number (978-251-5188) and selecting option 3.
