Principal's Message Principal's Message

Greetings Team,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and Happy Rosh Hashanah to our team members who celebrate this special holiday!

Last week we had our first BLT meeting and it was very productive. Our work was recgonized at the Principal's Meeting! We focused on attendance and the action steps pretaining to attendance in our One Plan. Are we doing what we planned? As you know monitoring our work is a crucial step in achieving the goals we set for our building. Great job BLT Leaders!

This week, please review the " Boulevard Testing Calendar Acadience/MAP/ KRA-R2/Interim 2026-2027". Every team member has access to this document. MAP math testing K-5 should be administered this week the 15th-18th. Please select a day and time that works best for your grade level.

Thank you for the great communication and positivity. Let's keep working together to be solution oriented.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Joi

๐ŸŒŸ Welcome, Ashley Hawthorne! ๐ŸŒŸ

I'm excited to welcome Mrs. Hawthorne to the Boulevard Team and to introduce a new layer of support for our staff!

Mrs. Hawthorne will partner with us to strengthen the attendance and behavior frameworks already in place at Boulevard. Sheโ€™ll help us better understand student behavior, strengthen interventions, monitor outcomes, and identify opportunities to be proactive and prevent challenges before they arise.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Hawthorne will be in the building observing our Boulevard community, learning about our routines and systems, and getting to know our staff and students.

Boulevard Team, please help me give Mrs. Hawthorne a warm welcome! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ If you see her in the building, take a moment to introduce yourself and say hello. Weโ€™re excited to have her as a partner and an additional resource as we continue to support our students and strengthen the work weโ€™re already doing together.

TBT's TBT's

As we continue our TBT work, please come prepared with three samples of student formative assessment work from your current content area:

  • High
  • Middle
  • Low

Please also bring the resource or assessment used so that we can review the evidence together and collaboratively determine our next instructional steps. 5th Grade Team will be meeting with Becky!

Looking Ahead:
Next week, all teams should transition to a different content area for review. Our goal is to cycle through each content area every three weeks. This intentional rotation will help us consistently monitor student learning and ensure we are capturing and responding to student progress across all content areas.

Thank you for continuing to use our TBT time to study student evidence, identify needs, and make purposeful instructional decisions. This is how we move student learning forward.

Itโ€™s time to let our students SHINE!

Each month, we will highlight one student from each classroom who is an exceptional example of our Learner Power of the Month. This initiative is part of Building One Plan - Action Step 2 for Behavior and gives us an opportunity to celebrate students who are demonstrating positive learning behaviors.

September Learner Power: ENGAGED

We are looking for students who:

  • Listen to the speaker with their eyes, ears, and body

  • Focus on learning and stay on task

  • Participate and share their ideas

  • Connect new learning to what they already know

Think about the students who are showing up each day ready to learn, participate, and engage!

A Google Document is included for you to submit your selected student and a brief description of how they demonstrated being ENGAGED.

Submission Due Date: September 28
