As summer begins to wind down, excitement is building across Eminence R-1 as we prepare to welcome students, staff, and families back for another outstanding school year! Our 2026-2027 theme, One Team. One Mission. United for Student Success, reflects our commitment to working together to ensure all Redwings have the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
We invite everyone to kick off the school year by joining us for our Redwings Rally, August 13 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., our inagural back-to-school community celebration. The Rally is bringing together local organizations, businesses, community partners, and school staff to help families prepare for the new year while celebrating everything that makes Redwings Nation such a special place. We hope you'll stop by, connect with community resources, visit our vendors, play some games, win some prizes, and help us celebrate the beginning of another exciting year.
We are also thrilled to share some wonderful news for our families. Our Stronger Connections grant is winding down but thankfully through this generous grant, all required school supplies for Eminence R-1 students will be provided by the district this year at no cost to families. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity, which helps ensure every student begins the year with the tools they need to be successful from the very first day of school.
As you enjoy these final weeks of summer, we encourage everyone to take time to relax, make lasting memories with family and friends, and begin preparing for the return to school.

- Elementary Open House (PreK - 6th grades) - August 20 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- High School Open House (7th - 12th grades) - August 20 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- First Day of School - Monday, August 24

Facility Request Process
If you are interested in utilizing one of our district facilities (FEMA Building, Elementary Gym, High School New Gym, High School Old Gym, etc.) you can now submit your request online or in person. Eminence R-1 School Facility Usage Request

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Information
Governor Mike Parson announced that the Missouri 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline has launched a new website: www.missouri988.org. The site provides information for anyone who may be experiencing a mental health, suicide, or substance use crisis.
The newly designated 988 phone number went live nationwide on July 16, 2022. Since that time, it has routed thousands of individuals to local, trained crisis specialists at Missouri’s 988 centers. The 988 crisis line connects anyone experiencing a mental health, suicide, or substance use crisis to compassionate, accessible care and support, available 24/7. Support is free and confidential.
