Our students’ safety on area roadways is extremely important to our school community. Recently there have been reports of student drivers passing stopped school buses unloading students, driving erratically, both on campus and on nearby roads—particularly Lee Lawing Rd,.—and making other unsafe and dangerous driving maneuvers. To help address these concerns and protect our Knight families, extra patrols from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol will be present in the area. Deputies and troopers will be monitoring traffic closely and issuing citations to drivers who violate traffic laws. Violation of traffic laws and parking rules on campus will result in the loss of driving privileges, including the forfeiture of student parking passes. With prom season upon us especially, we encourage all parents and guardians to speak with their student drivers about the importance of safe driving habits so that everyone arrives at their destination safely. Thank you so much for your help!
