Delton Middle School MyWay Wrestlers Advance to State!
Last weekend, Delton MyWay Wrestlers proudly participated in the West Regionals, where wrestlers competed for a top-four finish to qualify for the state competition. Out of eight middle school wrestlers, six have earned their spot at state—an incredible accomplishment!
Although they finished just short of qualifying, Kash Liceaga and Will Olson both placed 5th in their respective weight classes. They showed outstanding determination and competed with great effort.
We are excited to recognize our state qualifiers:
-
Charleigh Loveland – 1st place (70 lbs, 2013)
-
Brody McBride – 1st place (220 lbs, 2011)
-
Archer Nesmith – 2nd place (170 lbs, 2011)
-
Jason May – 3rd place (145 lbs, 2011)
-
Brock Bissett – 3rd place (220 lbs, 2012)
-
Brayden Reynolds – 4th place (145 lbs, 2012)
These six outstanding wrestlers will compete at the state tournament from March 27–29 for a chance to bring home a MyWay state title.
Congratulations to all of our athletes on a great showing at Regionals, and best of luck at state!
Leadworthy Students Make an Impact
On Saturday, March 14, Mr. Mitch Chapman and Mr. Cory Einhardt got an early start to provide an incredible opportunity for our 8th-grade Leadworthy students. Thanks to the support of our local Rotary Club, and in collaboration with Mr. Dave Ross and Ms. Wy Smith, several students were sponsored to attend a regional leadership conference.
Representing DKMS with pride were Meara Cook-Dill, Issac Donley, Ember Dykstra, Olivia Gonzalez, and Aliyah Mitchell.
During this Rotary Interact day of service and leadership, students participated in a variety of meaningful activities. They helped clean up the campus of Kellogg Community College, packed and shipped care items for veterans, and took part in collaborative team-building experiences. Students also had the opportunity to connect with peers from other schools and hear inspiring messages from speakers who emphasized the importance of service, leadership, and contributing to the common good.
We are proud of how well these students represented our school and community!
A Musical Visit to the Elementary
On the last day of their ukulele class, some 6th grade students walked over to the elementary school to share their talents with the staff. It was a fun way to wrap up the end of their 3rd RASL class.
🍀St. Patrick’s Day Spirit🍀
On Tuesday, March 17th, lots of students wore green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and added a little extra fun to the day. 🍀🌈

Let’s Highlight Our Students!
We know our students are involved in many activities and achievements outside of school that we may not always hear about. If your student has a success or accomplishment you’d like to share—such as sports, music, art, clubs, or other activities—we’d love to help celebrate it!
If you’d like your student featured in the newsletter, please email a short description of their achievement along with a photo to tammy.whitmore@dkschools.org. Let’s celebrate all the amazing things our students are doing! ⭐
