Dear Parents-Please help us teach your children/our students about the importance of internet safety. We have had a recent increase in students viewing inappropriate material or emailing peers about inappropriate topics on their school laptops both at school and in their homes before or after school hours. While the district does have filters on the searches, no filter can catch everything. Middle schoolers are very clever and figure out ways around the safety features. We highly encourage you to speak to your children about internet safety and further encourage you to monitor your child's computer use while at home.

• Afternoon pick-ups/sign-outs stop at 2:30. If after 2:30, you must pick up your child in the car rider line.
• We have to see an adult's ID no matter how the child is getting checked out (guidance, nurse, appt, etc.)
• Students should not be dropped off prior to 7:30 am. We do not have available staff to supervise students who arrive prior to 7:30.

ALL students will be expected to wear their ID badges daily. In addition to safety, the school cafeteria is using the badges to scan student numbers in lieu of them typing in their numbers which save time in the food line.

Please note: Charges for temporary IDs and replacements have begun.

Here’s what families need to know:

• ID badges must be worn and visible daily during school hours.
• Replacement badges will cost $5 (lanyard only is $1)
• Temporary IDs will be available each day for $1.
• Parents will be notified once a student’s ID-related charges reach $10.
• Student accounts will be billed for any outstanding fines.
