The Principals Post
Dear WMCTC Friends and Families,
Walking through our halls and classrooms this week has been nothing short of inspiring. Everywhere you look, our students are hitting major milestones, uncovering breakthrough "Aha!" moments, and stepping into their futures with confidence.
There is an incredible energy that fills a building when young people dive headfirst into the work they are genuinely passionate about. We have seen so many powerful firsts across our programs this week. In Protective Services, future firefighters suited up in full gear for the very first time, feeling the real weight of the profession they are preparing to enter. In Sports Medicine, student athletic trainers guided their first "patients" onto the treatment table, applying hands-on clinical skills in real time. Meanwhile, in Healthcare, aspiring nurses celebrated the hard-earned pride of earning their CPR certifications—a credential that directly saves lives.
Seeing the look of accomplishment on a student’s face in these moments is unforgettable. They aren’t just completing an assignment or checking off a box; they are realizing that the skills they master here will directly shape, protect, and care for the world outside our doors.
One of the greatest privileges of my day is simply stopping to ask our students, "What brought you here?"
No two answers are ever alike. Every student arrives with a unique story, a distinct spark, and a personal vision for where they want to go. Being trusted to play a role in that journey and watching curiosity turn into genuine capability is an absolute honor for our entire faculty and staff.
Thank you, families, for your constant partnership, your encouragement at home, and your shared dedication to your student’s growth. We are profoundly grateful to be part of their journey alongside you.
Wishing everyone a restful, safe, and wonderful weekend ahead!
Warm regards,
Dr. Colyer and Mrs. Petters
