Our Carnival is this weekend! ILEARN starts next week!
ILEARN- 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in ILEARN testing April 17th-25th. Students will take practice tests April 10th-14th. We will have an ILEARN Spirit Week to help students stay focused (see the flier below).
Talent Show- The New Market Student Council is sponsoring a Talent Show May 22nd at 6:30 PM. Interested students can pick up a permission packet in the office. Auditions will be held Thursday, May 18th after school. Students should come with their attire, props and music. An Audition schedule will be sent home May 15th. All performers that are approved to attend must attend a mandatory dress rehearsal Friday, May 19th after school. School Carnival- Our School Carnival is April 15th and we are in need of donated food items to sell at the Country Kitchen station during the carnival. If you are able to bake or purchase items please let Mrs. Neff know, by contacting her @ louann.neff@southmont.k12.in.us.
Coding Club- We are once again partnering with the Montgomery County Purdue Extension Office to offer a Coding Club for 3rd-5th grade students at the end of April and May. Fliers are available for download linked below the flier in this newsletter, and are also available in the office.
2023 Showcase- On May 24, 2023 at 6:30 PM we will be presenting our 2023 Showcase. This Showcase will include a 5th grade Promotion Ceremony, 3rd, 4th & 5th Grade Awards and 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Music Showcase. Doors will open at 6:00, the program will begin at 6:30 and there will be a 5th grade celebration with cake and punch immediately following the program.
Preschool Open House & Registration- Please join us Tuesday, April 25th from 4:30-7:00 PM for our Little Mounties Preschool Open House. Incoming preschoolers and their families will have an opportunity to meet the staff, explore the school, and see the classrooms.
Incoming Kindergarten Students- Calling all incoming Kindergarten students! If you missed Kindergarten Round-Up no worries! Just call our office to start the registration process 765-866-0740. School fees are NOT due when registering! It is important to get the student names so we can make class lists.
Welcoming New Students! Did you know that you do not have to live in the Southmont School District in order to attend Southmont Schools? It is as simple as filling out an Out of District Transfer Form! Please encourage family, friends and co-workers to enroll their child in the BEST county district/school! They can call our office to start the registration process 765-866-0740. School fees are NOT due when registering! It is important to get the student names so we can make class lists.
